SHOTGUN II: TACTICAL SHOTGUN TRAINING

THIS CLASS IS LIMITED TO 14 Participants. Pre-requistes for this class exist; Participant MUST have had Shotgun I and minimum of CCW (Handgun I class preferred). If you have any questions on your previous classes or experience, please contact Edwards Training Center.

This is PART ONE of an optional 2-day course. You may choose to do one class for $125.00 or both days for $205.00. Please see link for SHOTGUN CQB.

Many people use the shotgun as their primary home defense weapon for it's ease of operation and menacing lethal protection. This tactical shotgun course will teach you how to effectively run your pump or semi-automatic shotgun. You'll be given considered options about accessories and improvements to enhance your shotgun platform for your purposes. This includes your sling selection and incorporation into use, the auxillary ammunition supply using a side saddle or saddle stock. Once you start running the shotgun, you'll go through a magazine load in a hurry - and under stress. Also, you'll be told the truth and some issues to consider for correction; this is a teaching class, not just a day of shooting on a range.

Some discussion will be done over the advantage of shotgun over the carbine: ammunition selection. We will show you the difference between shotgun performances with varying ammunition: less lethal buck shot due to is varying pellet sizes to slugs. Each ammunition selection behaves differently and it's your responsibility to know the difference and what's in your gun.

This course will engage multiple targets and transitions from your shotgun to your hangun. Participants are asked to bring their carry rig (strong side sidearm and/or concealment set-up) and will practice effectively transitioning from one to the other and back. This will be a high-paced class with shotoing onthe move and under stress.

Participants are asked to bring three shotgun shells for the class: 100 rnd(s) of buck shot and 15 rnd(s) of slugs. In addition, participants should bring 150 rnd(s) of their sidearm ammunition (i.e., 9mm) for transition training and practice.
